About us

WSO Trust

We Shall Overcome (WSO) is a Facilitating Reputed and Leading Professional Community Development Organization working in various rural and urban pockets across the districts of Telangana state, for the last five years and has silently impacted many lives. It has indeed provided basic amenities to the communities to sustain difficult situations in hard to reach rural situations and settings through its multiple development activities. WE SHALL OVERCOME (WSO) Group gives importance in building the capacity of the target communities through participative assessments, community mobilization, effective motivation, community organization, exposure, training programs etc. Our efforts have been in sustaining the communities through Community Owned and Community Led Development Programmes. In the past five (5) years, we have worked with several individuals, institutions, groups, organisations and facilitated various individual community development programmes.

Our Early and Humble Beginnings

Society is build on social relationships and relations thrive on networking and maintaining relations, in the initial days with a similar motive to be connected and also support knowledge sharing and work for the community, WSO was formed through a Whatsapp group, as all the members were located in different locations. The group was formed with an aim to serve the society. In the beginning, there were 29 members and at present they have more than 82 members supporting the mission of WSO.

The way forward

The direction of any journey depends on the experiences of the road travelled, the path covered and the future needs/concerns in mind. A well educated child or youth are pillars of development. We are also trying support skill based education. Many a times, students need support for pursuing higher education; WSO is primary supporting such needs too. Skill building and support from financial institutions need to be enhanced. Livelihood and selffunding should be encouraged. It is important to develop a pragmatic and multi-sectoral, diversified approach consisting of involving political change makers, policy makers , social campaign, feasible and sustainable livelihood programmes, skill building sessions ,approaches to strengthen the in-need communities and mainstream the development process.
